Therapeutic Approach
Dr. Coria-Macias’ therapeutic approach blends the strengths of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory, and Relational Therapy. Through CBT, she helps individuals gently challenge and shift anxious or depressive thought patterns so they can feel more empowered and grounded. Using Attachment Theory, she explores how early bonds with caregivers shape the way we connect with others throughout life. Relational Therapy allows her to guide clients in strengthening their relationships by learning to set healthy boundaries, understanding their relational patterns, and finding balance and harmony in the connections that matter most.

Dr. Coria-Macias provides therapy for adults 18 and older and conducts psychological evaluations for adults. She believes that entering therapy is one of the greatest gifts a person can give themselves and is a courageous step toward healing, clarity, and growth. She honors each client as the expert of their own life and partners with them to define, pursue, and accomplish their personal goals.

Dr. Coria-Macias lives by the belief that throughout life, we all carry an “imaginary backpack” filled with our experiences; the joyful ones, the painful ones, and everything in between. Over time, that backpack can become heavy, overwhelming, or too much to carry alone. As a therapist, she helps individuals gently “unload” what weighs them down, find relief, and make space for new possibilities. She sees herself as a supportive guide, a GPS of sorts, helping clients discover the many pathways available to them as they work toward healing, balance, and the life they both desire and deserve.
